Michael Schaffer, Sr.

Michael Schaffer is the President and Managing Partner of Schaffer Private Wealth Group. With over three decades of wealth management experience, Mike specializes in guiding high-net worth individuals and families through multi-generational wealth and investment management and strategies. Over his long tenure in the industry, Mike has been a trusted source for guiding clients through shifting economic landscapes and changing market cycles.

Known for his disciplined market perspective and relentless pursuit of industry insights, Mike acts as a dedicated steward for his clients across the country. He works closely with the individuals and families we serve to translate complex and long-term goals into clear, actionable financial strategies built to endure across generations. This long-term perspective defines his approach to multi-generational wealth management.

Consistently recognized as an industry leader, Mike has been named to “Forbes “Best-In-State Wealth Advisors” (2022-2023,2025) and Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” (2009-2023, 2025). Mike began his career in 1994 under A.G. Edwards, which had transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors, before founding SPWG in 2023.

Born and raised in Florida, he attended Florida State University, where he studied accounting. Rob and his wife Kelly live in Zion, IL with their two daughters, Chloe and Abbigail.

Michael Schaffer, Jr.

Michael began his journey with Schaffer Private Wealth in 2016 as an intern during the team’s tenure at Wells Fargo Advisors. Inspired by his father’s multi-decade legacy of dedicated market research and client service, Michael developed an early passion for wealth management and a deep appreciation for the profound impact personal guidance can have on a family’s financial future.

In his current role, Michael Jr. specializes in conducting rigorous market research and due diligence through sophisticated analytic software. He translates these data-driven insights into investment strategies while clearly communicating the results to clients.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Financial Management from Lake Forest College in 2020. He holds his FINRA Series 7, 66 Registrations, and Life, Health and Annuity Licenses.

Caroline has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification. The CFP® certification is one of the most respected credentials in financial planning.

Bringing a fresh perspective and an unwavering commitment to elite client services, Caroline focuses on providing clients with consistent, high-quality service by building deep personal relationships. By truly understanding each client’s unique life goals and taking the time to uncover a client’s unique values, long-term goals, and family dynamics, she works with the team to craft the path needed to get there.
